Letter from the CEO

Kambiz Merabi

Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

The Merabi Organization Group, LLC

The Merabi Organization Group, LLC roots starches from 1726  by my late grandfather’s great grandfather Yacob (Jacob) Cohen who owned a rug factory and invested all his earning in real estate. From these humble beginnings, we have evolved into a truly diversified large commercial buildings owner that is privately-owned family business. I was only sixteen years old  when my great grandparents passed on within one month, but sixteen years of watching them do business, paved the foundation to the wisdom and experience I have today .

Over the years we have continued to evolve into our current model of a diversified single operating entity engaged in luxury rental of commercial real estate such as:

  1. Office
  2. Retail
  3. Residential
  4. & Hospitality

In many ways different but yet in all important strategic ways highly interrelated.

With our growing and changing real estate portfolio, the company has substantially upgraded its real estate holdings. include office, warehouse, data centers, hotels, freestanding parking garages, residential building. We have grown from a small CRE firm to a large regional luxury rental real estate enterprise, owning and operating buildings primarily in the New York City, and Los Angeles representing class, A luxury rental of residential, office, hotel and retail properties.

At MOG, the expertise housed under one roof is extraordinary. We are staffed to build even the most complex developments, whether commercial,  or

residential, quickly and economically with in-house architectural, construction, design, engineering, legal, marketing and financial departments, as well as a department just for forecasting and CRE research since 2008 .

Looking ahead, we have structured our operations at every level to assure my heartfelt goal that MOG continue as a private company into the next generation and beyond. Our day to day real estate operations are managed by a long-serving and deep professional management team. Most importantly, I have named my daughter, Adena A. Merabi as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Merabi Organization Group and my designated successor. I will continue to discharge my current duties as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until the day comes that I can no longer do so. When that day finally comes, it gives me great comfort and confidence that Adena will be right there at my side, ready in every way to lead MOG as its next CEO.

As my late grandfather often always said, “Only in America!”
